The weasel has landed

After some alterations to plans I managed to get almost everything done before I left which was good but seemed stressful at the time. Anyway here now and although not sunny (carla says it's the first day in ages it hasn't been) it's much brighter than back home. It was awesome to see the nov again and all being well we should move into our, small, flat this evening! She got her new Spanish passport and an ID card (necessary to get a contract here) while i snored my head off. I normally sleep really lightly but I was dead to world after a long 2 weeks doing very little. This morning, well afternoon really, I even entered the single speed euro champs!

Number 44 and they ask for nicknames on the registration euro ss, 2 weeks after SSUK but in Italy. Hmm nice. On the down side I've misplaced the 2 email addresses for Trek in Spain I had so plans are afoot to retrieve them from another source.

Needless to say I'm struggling. Anyway I've altered the title and colours a bit but the content will remain annoyingly familiar.

On which note it was my very last day in Alpine today (short of all plans falling apart) and it was a bit sad but probably the right time to go. Not long until Madrid now, days from now I'll be living in Spain! Of course that means I need to get a job, more than likely teaching English but at least it should pay well.

*sigh* this is the start of the end but also the start of the start i guess, roll the dice and bring it on.

I'm back (for now)

Ah only several months after promised I've finally managed to add another blog. Moving to Spain this week so it's all go but I need to freshen up the blog and change the now outdated title.

Watching the end of Monty Python's The Life of Brian I was reminded of the song I am adamant should be played at my funeral- "Always Look at the Bright Side of Life" and realised that I may have not told enough people to make that a reality when the time comes. So now you all know there's no excuse not to. Inspired almost entirely by the very unique service at Graham Chapman's funeral given by his fellow pythons, dark some may say wrong but, I believe, utterly fantastic enjoy:

Wedding Bells

Ah it feels like so long since I last wrote here, I guess it has been though.Spent 3 days in Latvia on my, now brother-in-law's, stag do which was awesome and followed not long after by my sister's wedding. It's only the second wedding I've ever been to which I've always been bit worried by as I've been to more than half a dozen funerals. I found it a weird event inasmuch as I was both so excited at the prospect of such a nice guy as a new brother but also sadness at not so much a loss of a sister but certainly her starting her own wee family. I'm still well chuffed though as there are very few people I can think of that deserve to be happier and her husband is a great guy that has to put up with a lot of nonsense from the many and varied disputes that course through our family.

In other news I've signed up to Sleepless in the Saddle as part of a 4some (couldn't handle a pair with Chris) Not ridden for 4 weeks got a sore throat and the race is in less than 3 weeks, bring it on mofos! Sadly Matt the spaz wont be there as it's too close to the Worlds so no more bike graffiti :( never mind Ill see him soon for some abuse.
